MERCEDES-BENZ SELLER FAQ
Three things every Mercedes-Benz owner asks before they call us.
Will you buy an AMG with high mileage?
Yes. M156-engined cars (C63, E63, etc.) at 80k+ are standard. Head-bolt service done? Send the records.
Do you buy G-Wagens with damage or mechanical issues?
Yes. G-Class is bulletproof but expensive to fix — we factor repairs into the offer and you get a firm cash number.
How fast can I get paid for my Mercedes?
Accepted offer to wired funds: 24-72 hours. SLS, SLR, and Black Series cars move fastest.

WHAT WE LOOK FOR WHEN BUYING A MERCEDES-BENZ
Mercedes-Benz evaluation differs by class. AMG variants — particularly hand-built One-Man-One-Engine cars (E63, S63, GT family) — are evaluated more like collector cars than daily drivers. Standard E, S, GLE, GLS class cars follow daily-driver luxury logic: complete dealer service history, verified mileage, and condition drive value. We carefully verify the AMG engine plate signature on hand-built engines and check for the documented major-service intervals (40,000 mile A-service, 80,000 mile B-service).
Mileage and use history
AMG performance cars prefer low miles — sub-25,000 for collector grade. Standard luxury sedans and SUVs sweet-spot at 30,000–70,000 miles. The notable exception is the G-Wagen, which holds value at any mileage if the body and drivetrain are sound — we’ve bought 100,000-mile G63s for strong money based on documented service.
Original options and specification
Mercedes options that matter most for resale: Designo Magno paint, AMG Carbon Ceramic Brakes, Driver’s Package (top speed unlock), Burmester High-End 3D, Executive Rear Seat Package (S-Class), and on G-Wagen, the AMG line. AMG Aerodynamics Package and Track Package on AMG GT/SLS cars add real money. The G-Wagen Stronger Than Time edition and 4×4² command premiums.
Condition, paint, and modifications
We check for the chronic Mercedes issues: airmatic suspension leaks (E, S, ML, GLE), 4MATIC transfer case wear, M278 V8 cam wear (S550, CL550), AdBlue/SCR system issues on diesels, and on AMG cars, signs of aggressive track use. Pre-2017 cars require careful inspection of MB-Tex vs. Nappa leather wear patterns.
HOW MERCEDES-BENZ RESALE VALUES COMPARE
Mercedes resale runs about 5–10% below BMW’s curve, with significant exceptions. The G-Wagen holds value extraordinarily well — G550 and G63 routinely sell within 10% of MSRP for years. AMG GT family holds value strongly. Standard E, S, GLE, GLS class cars follow typical luxury curves: 35–50% retained at five years. EQS and EQE EV resale is currently very soft. Maybach S-Class (S580 Maybach, S680 Maybach) holds value better than standard S-Class.
Resale figures above are based on aggregated public-auction data, dealer trade-ins, and our own purchase history. Individual cars vary based on specification, condition, and market timing.
WHY SELLING TO A SPECIALIST BEATS TRADING IN
When you trade your Mercedes-Benz into a franchise dealer, three structural disadvantages stack against you. First, the dealer is buying your car as a wholesale inventory unit — they need to mark it up to retail and absorb floor-plan costs, prep, reconditioning, and warranty risk. The result is a trade-in offer that typically sits 10–25% below true wholesale market value. The dealer isn’t being predatory; they’re managing inventory risk on a unit that probably won’t fit their typical buyer profile.
Second A no-sale auction wastes weeks. A successful auction at a soft price wastes thousands. And the buyers at those auctions are themselves dealers and flippers, pricing in their own margin.
Third, the private-party route — Craigslist, Facebook Marketplace, Autotrader — exposes you to tire-kickers, scammers, financing fall-throughs, transport coordination, payment fraud, and the security exposure of strangers visiting your home to inspect a high-value asset. We routinely buy cars from sellers who’ve spent two months trying to sell privately at a price 10% above what we offered, only to give up and accept our number with relief.
A specialist Mercedes-Benz buyer like Nahas Motorcars buys directly for our retail customer base — people who already know they want a Mercedes-Benz and are waiting for the right one. We don’t carry floor-plan costs on cars that sit; we don’t need to mark up against wholesale risk. We pay you directly, take care of pickup and transport at our cost, and handle the paperwork ourselves.
